Mobile Gaming

Mobile gaming, as a form of on-the-go entertainment, is a developing and high growth market. Within the gaming sector, mobile gaming is the fastest growing constituent with it estimated to generate just over €19 billion of gross win by 2018, reflecting a CAGR of 29.5 per cent. Bets made on mobile worldwide were anticipated to reach $10 billion in 2013, and increasing sixfold to £62 billion globally by 2018.

Forrester Research predicts that there could be 3.4 billion Smartphones and 905 million tablets in active use worldwide by 2017, implying 46 percent and 30 percent year on year (‘YOY’) growth in smartphone and tablet adoption respectively.

Real Money Gaming

Nektan offers a full end-to-end white label mobile solution for real-money gaming casino. Nektan’s white label product is offered as a full end-to-end solution supported by the Evolve gaming platform. The partner provides its large distribution channel access, for which the game is partner-branded to appeal to its existing customers.

Nektan  design the lobby ‘skin’, configure the lobby as defined by the partners, and build the customer-facing site and/or mobile application, before operating the customer interface software when live, including customer registration, age verification, payment processing and complaint handling through its Evolve platform and under its remote gambling licence.

Freemium Gaming

Nektan offers a full end-to-end, white label, mobile solution for freemium casino gaming where the partner supplies the Group’s design team with visual brand assets that are used to create a bespoke and proprietary ‘skin’ for the game.

Unlike Nektan’s RMG offering, freemium gaming is not classified as gambling and has no requirement for the Group, as the operator, to hold a gambling licence. Freemium gaming can be played free of charge and, initially, players are given a certain amount of ‘free’ content to play for a certain amount of time, with users then encouraged to purchase extra content, proprietary features, virtual goods and the purchase of further coins with real money via the iOS or Android App stores.

Freemium gaming attracts a unique audience of consumers who do not wish to gamble, instead playing for entertainment, but would be willing to pay for additional benefits received during in-gameplay, such as buying additional levels, upgrades and lives.
